Founded in 2012, we've always been about giving people full control over their digital lives in a world that's increasingly cavalier about taking it away. The first realization of our vision was the Indiegogo-funded CloudLocker, a physical, private cloud storage device that delivered all the power of the cloud without the need to upload anything anywhere else.

StoAmigo was the natural "next step" of that technology – providing even greater functionality without the external hardware.

In 2018, we rebranded into AXEL. It signaled an evolution of our vision, a new focus on utilizing blockchain technology to give people the control not only over their files – but their personal data too. All without sacrificing convenience.
